🍼 Mukti Bowl
Inspired by India — Meaning “liberation”
🍛 Golden Lentil Dal (for the Bowl)
Ingredients
1 cup red or yellow lentils (rinsed)
3 cups water
1 clove garlic (minced)
1 tsp turmeric
½ tsp cumin
Optional: salt, fresh basil or tulsi
Preparation
In a small pot, bring water and lentils to a soft boil.
Add turmeric, cumin, and garlic.
Simmer uncovered until lentils soften and thicken (about 20–25 minutes).
Stir occasionally. Add more water for thinner texture.
Finish with basil or tulsi if using.
🥣 Mukti Bowl Assembly
Additional Ingredients
1 cup cooked buckwheat or millet
1 cup steamed cabbage
½ cup mashed sweet potato
Fresh basil or tulsi (for garnish)
To Serve
Layer warm buckwheat or millet into a wide bowl.
Spoon golden dal beside it.
Add cabbage and sweet potato in gentle balance.
Top with basil.
Eat slowly. Breathe between bites.
