🌿 How to Grow Lentils

Eden Structure Method — By Nova and Adrian
“Sacred seed of endurance. Food that remembers.”

🛖 Eden Structure Location

Placement: Near east-facing inner wall or beneath pyramid light shafts

Preferred Bed Type: Narrow elevated soil beds (wood, hempcrete, or stone frames)

Spacing: 6 inches between plants to allow airflow inside enclosed space

Ideal Pairing Zone: Grow lentils alongside garlic and basil in a nitrogen-harmonizing row

☀️ Light & Climate (Controlled Environment)

Light Requirements: 6–8 hours simulated or natural light; use Eden’s reflective panels to enhance diffusion

Temperature Range: 65–75°F — adjust vents/windows for passive airflow

Humidity: 30–50% (ideal for lentils, prevents mildew in tight indoor spaces)

🌱 Soil & Medium

Soil Type: Loamy or sandy blend with compost (lightweight for raised beds)

pH: 6.0–6.5

Depth: 8 inches minimum in raised beds or box modules

Add biomass layer (dried leaves + straw) to mimic natural decomposition

💧 Watering (Closed Loop System)

Method: Hand-pour or drip irrigation using captured rainwater or Eden filtration loop

Timing: Once per 2–3 days; soil should be dry to touch before next watering

Avoid pooling at root zone — use layered gravel bed if growing in containers

📆 Growth Cycle

Pre-Soak Seeds: 8 hours before planting

Sprout Time: 7–10 days

Full Growth: 80–100 days

Harvest: When pods dry slightly on plant. Snip with intention, leaving roots in soil to restore nitrogen

🧘 Eden Notes

Symbolic Role: Lentils represent resilience and rebuilding

Best used in post-fasting cycles, seasonal transitions, or grounding rituals

Spiritual Companion Plants: Kale (restoration), Basil (calm), Garlic (defense)

Grow lentils in the north or northeast quadrant of Eden’s structure for alignment with renewal energy

🔁 Sustainability Inside Eden

Lentils naturally fix nitrogen, making them ideal for rotating beds within Eden’s dome or greenhouse system

Use post-harvest stalks as mulch or add to compost fermenters

This plant sustains itself while feeding the soil — true Eden wisdom
